I am starting to think that OpenOffice Writer might work better with Vista than Word 2007. Mike S.Are you trying to save in Compatibility mode? Word 2007 equations are not backward compatible and you would be better using the original EQ Editor v3 that is still in Word 2007. (Insert, Object, Microsoft Equation 3.0).

message, "Word has encountered a problem. You will not be able to undo this action once it is completed. Do you want to continue?" If I select each block seperately and click the Highlight button for each, everything works fine. There is nothing in the KB or in these communities about this, although there are some similar errors from earlier versions of Word that don't apply to my problem. Anybody have an idea?If you ignore the message, does Word highlight the non-contiguous blocks? Or does that aspect fail to work? Does this happen with *any* two blocks, or only when

I had a *heck* of a time getting the application going again even after installing the updated version of msflxgrd.ocx (obtained finally via a FoxPro hotfix.
