I am not able to get Word to display colors in the autoshapes I draw. I can see lots of colors in the taskbar, etc, and can change the color of the font, so I dont think it is a graphics card problem. I can send the file to my other computer and the same text box shows up but with the color visible. Same thing happened with Word 2000 on this computer.. Did I inadvertantly change a setting?Make sure that you click the image first, then from the Autoshape toolbar choose the "Fill" color you want, but make sure that the shape is select first. BelgiumI'm seeing the dots in word 2003 - it tries to display the text using "MS Mincho" (no mention of that font in the xml code, just one of my system's default fonts) also seeing the dots in word 2007 - "Times New Roman" this time. selecting the text and setting the font to "Batang" shows the text properly, then save the changes and it works in both 2003 and 2007. I assume you're testing the latest version of the IRIS OCR system, so you may have to check the Word ML documentation to make sure your xml output

Button in my Word form to trigger Word to find the Excel sheet and import it into my Word document. I inserted the file as an object in my word document and looked fine but I don't know how to use a Command Button to do the same. Thank you very much.Deadline or not, you aren't likely to get any usable answers here unless you provide some more information: - Why do you want a command button? What would it do that the Insert > Object dialog can't do? - How is the command button supposed to find the Excel file? Is it always in the same place, with the same
This has been going on for almost a week. Word did not open so I went to your site and found this http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProbsOpeningWord.htm where I was able to get word to open. add I use beta 2007 at home!!Yes, that's a critical piece of information! In Word 2007 you can choose to save the documents in "Word 97-2003" format as *.doc files, which the older programs can read. If you don't choose that format specifically, Word 2007 uses the new *.docx format, which the older programs don't recognize. Alternatively, if you're allowed to install software on your work PC, you can download the Awareness update and the Compatibility Pack at http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/beta/converter.mspx.
